My work is rooted in textiles, although my output is not defined by material or process. Always seeking to expand technical understanding I implement the appropriate skills to achieve my visions. Currently I combine my skills in apparel design, natural dye and weaving alongside a conversation with the garment, tailoring and customization. These processes formalize themselves into sculpture that places importance on the body as a space for conceptual investigation. My work is a fluid process; the studio is where I reflect on my own habits and neurosis. I draw from these personal quirks to drive research into work that questions the relationship between design and its affects on mental or physical states of being.
